False Prophecy Gets Prophet Imprisoned

Alphonsus Ezie, a so called prophet from the Celestial Church of Christ Igando District, Lagos State has been imprisoned for false prophecy to His congregation. The so called prophet fortold that some of his members would get visas to Netherland for better and a more comfortable life.

16 of his naive members, eagerly met with His so called visa agent Mr Samuel in a hotel in ejigbo, where they all bargained on a price for their visas,passports and all other travelling documents. Those who paid include;
Julius Adefisoye, N217,000;
Mathew Oyedele, N125,000;
Kinsley John, N120,000;
James Obiakpo, N240,000, who paid for himself and fiancee;  Adewumi Osisoya N70,000; Akimbami Kunle, N50,000 and Lekan Ogundepo, N50,000.

The whole dilemma began when suspecting members who hopefully waited for for months without seeing Mr Samuel nor their travel documents. They informed  the police about the whole situation and got the so called prophet and Mr Samuel, they both pleaded not guilty.

A N100,000 bail was set for both men with two sureties in like manner and are currently in police custody pending when they fulfill their bail conditions.
